Foo - So I was moving some stuff in my truck

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

And I noticed it has an oil leak. Now that I barely use it as I
bike to work it decides to be sick. Poor truck. Off to Black Rock
to see what's wrong.
ps it is not a loose oil filter. leak is on opposite side of the engine.

What truck do you have?
Sucky. I wish I could bike to work more often.

2000 Ford Ranger.
I want a small hybrid.
I do love being able to haul
the occasional bit of
lumber or hardware but
mostly I don't use the truck.

Look at the VW Golf Tdi, excellent millage and you can haul an amazing amount in it. I recently fit twelve one meter tall evergreen bushes, a weeks worth of groceries, and my wife in mine.

It's 8 years old and you hardly used it. Perhaps the seals/gaskets dried out. Did you find where it was leaking from?

not yet--I wouldn't say hardly used (90k miles) but I have done
the maintenance schedule fairly religiously.
