Europeans--keep your eyes open. This is from the Birdy group post:
This is my first trip to Birdy yahooland. Hello everyone.
I was travelling by train from Zurich to Paris last week with my
trusty and much loved Birdy white. I put it in the bike carriage but
when I got to Paris it was gone.
It's pretty unique as I understand that whites are pretty rare anyway.
It's a 'middle era' bike with an expedition rack, a comfort stem and a
conversion from the standard 8 deraillieur gears to a hub and
deraillieur 24 speed. It also has a horrible pink bottle rack on the
stem and has a Klickfix bracket on the bars along with a red mini bell.
There is a horizontal scratch on the 'cross bar' tube and the back
brake cable end was so short there was only enough room for a cap.It
had a grey 'Fizik' (sp?) saddle.
The frame number is PG3160222
The train only stopped in Mulhouse and Basle (Switzerland) and
Strasbourg (France).
If anyone sees this bike or hears of a white Birdy 24 speed being
offered, perhaps they could let me know either on my email
veronica@right- thing.co. uk or via this site.
I really miss her!
