Thanks ,I had the bike shipped to one of their stores , saved $12 in shipping and I will let them unbox it and check it out before I pick it up . Also comes with free lifetime adjustments , whatever that means . I'll be doing the wrench turning , but I chose the option to let them handle any out of the box problems that it may have. Plus I want to check out their store ; it's on the north side of Atlanta and I haven't been to one yet . kirby

I happen to go to Performance store every few weeks since it is on our way to a relative's house. It is a good place to find discounted bike clothing, parts etc. Different stores carry different bike selections and some are not available online (I do not quite understand this). Other than the Dahon, they had another $150ish bike in another store in Philly that I meant to check out.

Lifetime adjustment thing seem to cover things like adjustment of gears, basic tuning and such. Otherwise, they charge some $75 for even the simplest things. So I would not suggest them as a repair shop. You should get them to fix it up before you leave the store to avoid the out of the box problems. They did that for both regular size bikes I bought from them for free.

I have been eyeing the same bike to replace the Downtube that I recently sold. I have decided that I would not spend more than $200 on a foldable since I do not use it much. But I do like the smaller folds of more expensive bikes.

I go there once in a while when they have a sale to pick up a tube or whatever. But the one here in Lake Oswego, Oregon is weird. Really stale feeling, like Costco with bikes. Of course its Oregon, so most other shops that I can compare it to are amazing.

That is a good deal, though. Less than $200 for a good bike plus lifetime adjustments. Even though they're not that much work, its nice (and smart) of them to offer it.

I'm still waiting for my bike to arrive .I checked with CS at Performance ,Thursday and they said it shipped out Wednesday . It should be here by Tuesday after the holiday . I hope anyways . Shipping from North Carolina to Atlanta , Ga. shouldn't take a week IMO. I could have ridden it in that length of time. Waiting S..ks . kirby

Performance bike has general bicycle stuff, and definitely cycling specific clothes - my wife has certainly purchased enough jerseys at the Mall 205 store, on the East side of Portland...lol

However, as noted, they seem a notch below many of the bike shops in the Portland area. They are more of a bike supermarket.

For folder specific items (appropriate 406 tires) and service we frequent Coventry Cycle Works. They specialize in recumbents and are stocking dealers for both Dahon & the Bike Friday tikit.
