How do I know what size spokes to use for a wheel?
It's a 26 x 1 3/8" Schwinn Wheel (597mm - although, it could be a 590mm because it's a 3-Speed, but, I'm not sure).
I'm not keeping the rims, so really the "mm"s I'm giving you are pretty much null cause I could do what I want with it, but, how do I know how long of spokes I'm supposed to get?
Keep in mind this is for a Sturmey Archer 3-Speed (Model AW) so no dishing is required, to the best of my knowledge.

DT has a spoke calculator on their website. All you need is: ERD for the rim you want, the diameter of the spoke hole pattern (how far apart opposing spoke holes are), the distance between the hub flanges, and the pattern you want to lace them into (probably 3 cross).

Well before you can determine the spoke length or use one of the good spoke calculators you need to have the hub and rim and know the spoking patern you will use. All of these go together to allow you to determine that elusive spoke length you are looking for.
