BMX - Looking for a 14mm front hub

Ive looked on danscomp and did some searches and i couldnt find any. All i want is a 14mm hub thats really smooth, and light. (and of course strong). What are some good ones, (with links if you can). Im going to get sunday night forks if i do find a 14mm hub.

edit: What about the WTP Supreme Front Hub. Is it really smooth?

supreme wouldnt work cause its an internal axle with the hardware to fit a 3/8 in. dropout.

for a sealed 14mm front hub, the odyssey Hazard Front will do the trick. 14mm axle, 4 sealed bearings, and its odsy, so you know its from a good company.

They are offering them. They are easy to find.

Most everything available is 3/8" with the exception of a few. All I'm saying is that if there was a really a demand (i.e. market) for them, all the hub companies would be offering them up. Perhaps they'll grow more popular over time. The extra weight seems unnecessary *shrugs*

i never said anything about being popular. cause theyre really not. most people have 3/8 cause they dont want the weight. for me, its just a personal choice. its what ive pretty much always ridden, and its always survived through the big drops ive done.

yeah, especially because im gonna be learning smiths and handrails and stuff like that, and i cant have a bent axle doing that stuff. As for the weight, ill just get other light parts. So what are some other smooth and strong 14mm hubs.

This is not relavant to my point. My point was if he is serious about that question because isn't that hard to find a 14mm front hub.

Im gonna go with the macneil 14mm front hub in black. On danscomp it says it can only be laced 3 times. What does that mean...? Im going to buy it off albes because thats the only place that the 14mm comes in black i think.

and is your front rim 36h? cause if its not then the macneil hub wont work for you.

well im getting a new front rim to. and the front rim im getting is 36h.

well then there you go. get the macneil hub. just remember that you have to do a 3X lace pattern

its pretty normal in 36 h rims/hubs. i run 48h so i like to have 4x pattern instead.

It's pretty unlikely that even a 3/8th axel would break from a drop. The only thing i'd be concerned about is doing alot of double pegs and tooths and such if your a heavy guy.

+1 you'll lose the rest of the wheel on a drop before the axle does anything. Im only 130 lbs and ive managed to bend/break 3/8 front axles in the past. 14mm is the way to go. those that are worried about the extra weight(almost nothing), grow some muscles ;)

and with the drops, ive always landed a little hard. im not fat at 5' 10" and 160, but i hit the ground with some force. and i dont run pegs, so i dont even consider that being a problem. lets just call it insurance.
