Wow. Very interesting.

I'm still trying to picture how a square roundabout is more interesting then a circular one. Maybe it's larger and gives you a better chance to make our lane changes (if it's a big roundabout).

I found this to be an interesting statement about our society...
A geographic survey of East Lansing, Michigan, for example, once found that more than 50 percent of the retail district was dedicated to “automobile space”—parking, roads, and the like.

Good read overall... especially the bits about the relationship of time and the aspect of the social order of traffic.

Interesting too that the US decided quite early to "devote" spaces to cars vice people... and the result is what we have now.
