The instructions on this Mr. Tuffy are so simple, essentially just saying "Install tire liner." What I did was I took the tire off the rim, took out the inner tube, and fingered the Tuffy into the tire, trying to center it as I went - but centering one portion slipped the previous portion so no matter how much work I did, it always looked off-center. Is there some special technique to this?

Lay your tire on the floor. Put enough air into your inner tube to give it shape. Install the inner tube into the tire. Make sure that it has enough air pressure to pretty well fill up the tire cavity. Now you can slide the Mr. Tuffy between the tire and tube and the inner tube will hold it in place.

When replacing the tire onto the rim, I always install the inner tube first anyway. You might have to let a little air out of the inner tube to get the last tire bead onto the rim.
