Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I would like to buy a computer trainer where I can store daily training plans. I am not sure if it exist.
Second every training plan i do every day, includes reps, rest periods, warming and cooling periods.
Is there any computer trainer where I can save a plan like this? where every time period start/finish with a sound beep and a screen note showing what I need to do?.
For example:
warm: 20 min
reps: 3 series of 1 minute with 2 minutes of rest
rest:15 min once finished the reps
endurance: 3 series of 15 minutes with 5 minutes rest between serie.
cooling: 10 min
---------------------
The computer should store the following periods:
20 min
1 min
2 min
1 min
2 min
1 min
2 min
15 min (rest)
15 min
5 min
15 min
5 min
15 min
5 min
10 min (cooling)
---------------------

Polar, Garmin, Timex, Casio, Cateye watches/computers can do this ???
My XTrainer Plus Polar can not do it.
Any help is welcome
Regards.

If you mean on the bike computer, I don't know of any that do everything you want.

For a home trainer, there are no perfect solutions to the cycling virtual reality world, but I use the Tacx I-Magic and love it. There are all kinds of virtual reality worlds to ride around on. The real life video is fun also, it keeps you interested. It has a program called Catalyst that allows you to set any time, distance or heart rate to maintain. It records heart rate, cadence, speed and wattage. If you repeat a course, it will allow you to graph the results one on top of the other.

It is not the same as riding or racing, but it is a great trainer and has great lattitude. Working on a trainer is not the greatest fun, but this one creates enough distraction to work with it and the data recorded is invaluable.
