I'm trying to figure out a way to get a cx bike cheap...i have a frame i can use for it...and i was thinking about building up a ss cx bike. But I wanna get a bike that I can train with because my other bike is a fixed gear, and my dad has a decent Nishiki road bike which rides fair and is pretty heavy. I added it all up and if i build up a decent ss cx bike, it'll cost me about 350ish, and for a geared bike it'll cost me a little over 500. Also I have the option of buying a used 2003 Bianchi axis for 700 which is in great condition. So my options are to build up a ss, and use my dads nishiki for training. Build up a geared cx for 500 and use for racing and training, or save up and get the axis for 700 which would be good for training and racing aswell. Or..should I just try and find a complete used cx bike on craigs list. Keep in mind I don't have alot of money to spend at all, thanks for the help
