Introductions - Hello there.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just to introduce myself ..................I am a retired 68 year old living in West Yorkshire UK. After many years withou a pedal bike I was given a Universal MTB (don't laugh) and found I enjoyed using it. I bought an old Dawes hybrid on ebay and enjoy that even more. I have many and varied interests including old motorcycles, dogs, campervan and voluntary work so I don't get to use my bikes much; it certainly isn't worth spending money on a better machine just now but maybe when I grow up ...............
I really enjoy reading the forums especially the technical threads. Much pleasure ahead!

Hello Grubbyfred, where are you in West Yorkshire? We won't laught at the Universal MTB--any bike is a good bike as long as it makes you happy when you ride it.
I am happy to see that you are enjoying BF so far. Perhaps you could come and visit us in the Classic & Vintage forum, too?
