Track Cycling - warming up before races?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
what's the common way to warm up before a track race? trainer, rollers, etc?
do most people use the bike they're going to race or a second trainer bike, for example, something with gears.
I've seen pretty much everything that you suggested. At my local track there are people there with trainers and people with rollers, some bring a road bike with them that they leave on the trainer, others stick their track bike on their trainer in-between races.
Based on my observations the most common is using a trainer with a race bike, which probably has more to do with convenience than being the "best" method.
