Joe , how come sometimes when I check the "view new posts" it comes up with the message "sorry- no matches, please try some different terms ! "???? and other times it comes up with all the most recent posts ???

I think I just answered my own question !, after posting the first question above , then checking the view new posts , my first question appeared !!!! Is there some time limit on how long a new post is actually a new post with the view button ????

In addition to the cookie that the forum sets locally on your computer, the forum also sets a session server side. Each session is for 15minutes. If you visit the forum, and you are not active for 15min, all new posts will be marked as read. They only way around this, is to be active during your session, so it wont expire. Does that clear things up?
