Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - I know---knew---how to post photos, but the buttons are gone!?

i've done it in the past, and i'd like to continue. but the buttons above the reply text box are gone. there's no bold option, no underline, no photo or weblink button.

i can't be the only one experiencing this, can i?

i tried just using the html, but that doesn't work...is there a special phpbb code or something i could just type in manually?

The buttons are there for me. Which Editor are you using, Basic, Standard, or Advanced?

If you want to use the BBCode, they are (without spaces next to brackets):
[ URL="enter URL here"]enter link text here[/URL ]
and
[ IMG]enter URL of image here[/IMG ]

the buttons aren't there in any of the editors.

wait. what do you mean by editor? i only know of the "post quick reply" and "go advanced". it's not in either of those...
when i first noticed the buttons being gone, i could still see and use the the text formatting (font and size, i believe) options, but now those are gone, too.

i did just upgrade to firefox 3 this morning, could that be the cause? i tried restarting...to no avail...

I'm guessing that somehow your editor setting was changed to Basic.

Go to the User Control Panel & click on Edit Options. (Or click here. (http://www.bikeforums.net/profile.php?do=editoptions))
Scroll down to Miscellaneous Settings at the bottom of the page.
Change the Message Editor Interface in the dropdown menu to either Standard Editor or Advanced Interface. I prefer Standard, others prefer Advanced.
Click on Save Changes.

no need to lock or close it, as others may have the same issue and this thread may help them fix the problem.
