So far I've been looking at the Zefals 35mm wide, they could be the ticket for this upcoming "slush" season.
What gives folks, any other better options outthere?

I'm interested in the answer to this one, too. I was checking out the Planet Bike Freddy Fenders @ $24.99, but would like to know what experiences others have had.

Planet Bike has very nice ones, with mudflaps included, very nice, but it's really too much set-up for my purpose. I just want something, light, low profile, and something I can put on and off rather quick, clip-ons seem to fit the ticket so far...but I'd like to hear other feedbacks too.....

The best coverage is full fenders - clip-ons might provide some protection, but to really keep the stuff off you and the bike -- full fenders attached well with mudguards are the only way to go. Plus, they look sexy to boot.
I have full fenders on an old Austro-Daimler road frame (converted to upright single speed for commuting) and they work great, someday I'll attach some mudflaps too.
Clip-ons just don't offer the same level of coverage, which is blatantly obvious by just looking at them on a bike.

Yeah! I think I'll put PlanetBike fenders on my commuter (Volpe), it'll fit due to the cyclocross fork clearance, but for the road one maybe just the clip-ons, the problem with the road bike is the narrow fork and seat stay, full fenders wouldn't fit in , just the skinny clip-ons if any, I don't know I guess I'll have to try them.
Nashbar is selling the clip-ons for 12.99 no bad. hmmm

SKS chromoplastic are pretty good.
Do ensure you get a safety release on the front stays. It saved my bacon on one occasion.

I checked the SKS out, they look good but too bad they don't have them in neutral colors like black to match any frame paint.

SKS I've only seen come in silver and black... Planet Bike offers some in yellow, smoke and titanium, but also offer black.
