Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Went to the Doc today.....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

and guess what?
199 lbs!
I got nervous when the nurse kept sliding the weight to the right. But it finally balanced out at 199! And I was fully clothed, too.
Heavier than I thought, but under 200lbs nonetheless.
Everything else was real good. Good blood pressure, heart rate, etc. Doc did spend a little longer in my nether region than I had expected. he thought he felt a ridge on my testicle, but it turned out just to be the main connecting vein. Had me scared for minute. I got in a bicycle accident when I was 9 and I ended up with 7 stitches on the right side of my *ahem*...sac. That was the same side he was looking at. But he says everything looks and feels good down there, so I'm happy. Going in next week for blood work to check all of my cholesterol and whatnot.
But most of all, 199lbs!

I also just realized that I turned 500 miles the other day since I started riding!

Well done Talley. Here's hoping the blood work comes back just as positive, err negative:D.
Considering you were fully dressed, you are more likely around 194 or so!

Well at my worst I was up to 260. But by the time I got into cycling I was down to about 215 or so. So it hasn't been a huge amount of weight that I have lost. But I'm still happy with it. I haven't been under 200lbs since 2002!
I'm just going to try and keep steadily losing weight until I am satisfied. I was 180 my Senior year of high school, down 50lbs from the 230lbs my Junior year. I wouldn't mind getting back down there, or even lighter. When I was at 180 I still had a good deal of flab. I could have easily shed another 10lbs, and cut my body fat down and still looked good.

Ever watch the movie Fletch? "Doc, did you ever serve time?"
I'm still at 215 and dreaming about seeing 199. Congratulations on your success. Keep up the good work.

Same here.
Visited my doctor today and weighed in at 198 lbs.
I've been around 215-220 for the longest time but, have been working on getting down to my high school weight of 195 (I'm 54).
Guess I won't be visiting here much anymore. :)
C4 out.

When the day comes that I can lay claim to Emeritus status, I have every confidence this will still be my most visited forum, along with C&V :D. The camaraderie and encouragement here is second to none.
