Yeah, so do I! I think I'm going to be upgrading my actual commuting bike, the Schwinn to V's as well. That way I'll be using 700c tires and can get some winter studded tires as well, and have fenders for the wet.

Hmm...do these work? I don't really have any photos of me leaving for work as everyone I know is asleep at 4:30am :D If not, Tom, please let me know & I'll delete.

On occasion, when I want to get a little climbing in, I ride through the hills of Griffith Park.

This is downtown Burbank, California at about 5:50am in February. From near the top of Griffith Park:

Griffith Park is also the home of the famous, "Hollywood" sign that I got to about 10mins after the previous shot:

And this is the view of downtown Los Angeles (to the left) at 6:00am from the Hollywood Hills (aka, Griffith Park):

I'll allow it.....those are beautiful pics. ;)

You need to at least fake one up, though, do the pic when someone is up to take it. ;)

Okay, how's this? This is a pic of me as I look when I commute. I don't have any fancy commuter-bags, bikes, jerseys or anything. Just me and my road bike. On Mondays, I take in all my stuff for the week and leave it at work. It's there waiting for me when I arrive :D

(Picture is actually of me after 72-miles into the Assault on Mt. Mitchell. This was my first stop as I was trying to set a personal record in the event. It took me about 3 hours 15 mins to get here. I would go on and finish the 102-miles in 8:42)

Here I am setting out on a ride.

This wasn't a commute, but that's exactly how I'm outfitted for my commute, with the exception of new clipless cycle shoes I picked up since this photo was taken three weeks ago. I've been playing with commuting since the beginning of August, two or three days a week. While I may not yet have true bike commuter credentials, my 6'6" 238 lb frame definitely makes me a clyde.

My current goal is to get down to 100 kg and ride for 100 km.
