I've been trying to decide on a nice new pair of bibs to drop some of my income tax refund on.. Trying to decide on like some pearl microsensor 3d's or a sub$150 pair of assos bibs. what would you suggest would be better..
Hi there,
I can't speak about the PI's, but I do own a pair of Assos Campionissimo Evo Bibs. I've used them for over two years now and they show very little wear. I'd say they're good for 2-3 more years at least. As for comfort, I think they truly shine on rides of longer than 3 hours. Having said all that, I'm of the mind that shorts are like saddles, not every short will suit every butt.
As this model is no longer being manufactured, you can get them at a "reasonable" price at totalcycling.com or at lickbike.com
Hope this helps,
Mike

All my clothing both winter and summer is Assos and I am EXTREMELY happy.
Assos are expensive and if you shop around you can find some deals from time to time. Just like your bike, clothing is extremly important when you ride and I feel many riders cheat themselves when it comes to clothing.
I own the ASSOS F1.13 Bibshorts.

Bib's are a really personal thing. Some will LOVE Assos while others like me think they're nice but not worth the money.
I own two pair of Assos bibs. One Campionissimo Evo and also a pair of the FI.13 bibs. Both fit me ok but not great. I'm 6'1" and probably need a XL for the length but bought L because the XLs were not as tight as I like. The L are actually not as tight as I like but I'm pretty thin so that happens. If I had to pay anywhere near retail for these, I never would have bought them.
PI bibs don't fit me period. The material is nice on the high end bibs but they're cut way too big/wide for my taste.
Bibs I like a lot - Castelli anything and Santini CX with the twist gel pad.

If you cannot try them on before buying, make sure that you can return them without penalty from where you get them. With that being said, I'd probably go for the Medium if I were in your shoes. I'm pretty sure that the Uno would be considered a step down to the EVO as the Mille is more comparably priced at retail but that's really just a guess.
