...that you can't get?

Right now, it's as follows:

1) Cornish pasties - UK
2) Rocky Rococo pizza - 1 location in MN, or many in WI
3) Pili nuts - Philippines, but can get on the west/east coasts, probably Chicago. Not here
4) King Pie/Nandos - RSA, UK and Canada allegedly.
5) amaSlice from the ladies selling it at the taxi rank - RSA
6) Springbok biltong - RSA, probably could order online, but not the same.
7) Pizza Mecca pizza - Ermelo, Mpumalanga province, RSA
8) Tobi spicy peanuts - Philippines, see 3.
9) Schwepps Dry Lemon - RSA, UK maybe?
10) Seared ahi tuna w/ blackened sesame seeds & wasabi - The fish joint up on Mt. Washington
11) Tita Cording's Tiny lumpia shanghai/fried catfish bites - Brooklyn Park, MN
12) Halo-halo - same as 8 & 3

*sigh*

Ah! There was an excellent beer at D's Six Pack & Dogs and John Harvard's Brew in Pgh, that you could buy in growlers...man, that was transcendent beer.

Another vote for phở. There's a half-decent place in Beijing, but basically good phở is impossible to find here.

Also, sleep.

Also, for people to stop brushing off my interview requests, and for them to actually be there when they tell me to phone them

My jaw has been wired shut for a week. Liquid food is beginning to get on my last mother f-ing nerve. To answer your query, a chunk of crusty bread would be heaven. Drinking healthy real food to get these g-damn mother f-ing wires out of my mouth as soon as possible. :twitchy::twitchy:

When I lived in Almaty, caviar was so cheap that we'd buy a big tin for movie night. Couldn't find popcorn, so we'd make do...
