I was in the Bay Area for a week in mid-June and rode up Mts. Hamilton, Tam, and Diablo and also Old La Honda-Skyline-Coast-Tunitas Crk loop. In addition to these awesome riding, I was hoping to take some nice photographs, but that wasn't the time for it I guess, the scenery looked rather yellow and dried. When would be a good time to go take some nice photos when things are much nicer (green). Thanks.

You didn't find any photo ops on Tunitas?!

Sometimes yellow and dried makes for a decent pic. Taken yesterday on Coast View Trail on Mt. Tam:

Yellow and dried can also be interpreted as Golden and Beautiful. It's all in your perspective, :-)
I like the contrast of the golden yellow fields and the deep green Live Oaks.
Here are a couple of photos from my East Bay 200K (http://callmepokey.blogspot.com/2008/08/i-finally-rode-my-own-permanent-route.html) permanent route I rode last week:
Redwood Road near Oakland:

Psssst - you're going the wrong way. :D
I almost got killed the last time I came down that. As I crested the middle bump, there was a silver Infinity in my lane executing an illegal and blind pass. Missed me by about a foot as I veered to the right and he zipped in front of the other car, almost colliding with it.
I almost got killed on this hill going west this spring. I came down the last stretch of hill doing about 40mph and there was an honest-to-god ostrich in the opposite lane. I flew past him and all I could think was there stupid headline, "Cyclist killed by Ostrich" in News of the Weird.
