Hi all,

I've been using a Fenix L2D Q5 (cree) as a back up to my dinotte and when I travel with my Bike Friday it becomes my primary light. This is a great flashlight that I use on the job in addition to my bicycling. I read in the instructions that you are not supposed to run it in Turbo mode too long because of heat build up. I've also been reading where many of you are using the Fenix in turbo mode for upwards of two hours. I have been curious if the relative airflow would provide enough cooling to run this light in turbo mode continuously, as it does for the dinotte.

So have any of you had any issues with excessive heat?

The L2D Q5 can be used non-stop in Turbo mode without any problem, especially on a bike where the airflow is far more than enough to keep it cooled. Go for it.

It's no problem at all.
