Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Ms Warren was a triathelete who recently died from a bicycle accident. The account I read said she was racing downhill when the accident happened. Does anyone know what actually caused the crash?

check out slowtwitch. I think it was a downhill section with irregular road, switching from sun to shade and missed the marking. it almost sounds like she had some physical problem as well. I think she fell and hit the back of her head on the ground causing spinal injury. I got tired of reading so I had to skim, but that's what I got out of it.

Anyone is welcome to enlighten me who has better eyes and can read thru the articles.

The weird thing is that I haven't been able to find any mention of whether or not she was wearing a helmet in any of the articles.

I forwarded the article to all of my relatives, with the instructions that if I am ever in that situation, my decision to withdraw life support would be the same as hers. RIP, Barbara

Interestingly, we hear of very few deaths or disabling permanent injuries in triathlons. Shark attacks and drownings are evidently a much bigger threat than bike crashes.
