My name is Bill and I am fresh back to cycling after a 20-year hiatus. It's funny how getting your drivers license changes things.

My course has been slightly differnt than most. I have been heavy (obese) most of my life until one day I just couldn't see myself going forward any more. Well, that was 4 years ago next weekend and I am happy to say that I have lost 235 pounds to date!! :thumb: I am a totally differnt person. I have so much more energy and stamina than I can ever remember. I am working toward my first TRI and have ran several 5k's, but needed the next part of the equation; a bike. About a month ago I bought an '08 Trek 2.1 Pilot Triple. I love this bike! I forgot how much enjoyment you get from riding. It's just you, the bike and the wind.

If you're more interested in my story and following me check me out on SparkPeople.

Thanks for visiting and happy trails.

Hi Bill, WOW!

Are you a Clydesdale still? You are a great example of achievement through perseverance, for sure!

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !
