Where is the best place to advertise the sale of my Gunnar?
Thanks,

There is a buy sell trade post in this forum.
What size is the frame, components, price?
Ebay is great for this bike as the demand is there. Check out the classifieds at www.roadbikereview.com also.

Thanks, I'll check the sell trade section and EBay. In the mean time, it's --$1,200.00--Red -58cm-Gunnar fork (long steerer tube for custom sizing) Ultegra components: STI shifters, F & R derailleurs, double (road) crank, Avid shorty 6 brakes, Chris King headset,Velocity Dyad wheels/105 hubs (all black), Specialized 700X38 Crossroads EX tires, Salsa "short n shallow" handlebars, Sella Italia Flite saddle, Cateye wirelees computer. 450 miles on bike, set up for use on roads and some smooth trails. Looks new....I'm selling cause I just bought it's cousing, a Gunnar Sport with S & S couplers for traveling.
Any other info just write to acojo21@aol.com.
Once again thanks for your advice
For months last year, I foamed over a Crosshairs similar to the one you have. it belonged to a friend at work and he was willing to sell it to me for much less than what it was worth. I hadn't had a bike in 13 years and wanted to get back into it.
The thing about my friend is that he is a hard core cycling junkie - the kind of guy who buys bikes and uses them for a year and then replaces them. At any time, he's got 6-10 bikes of all varieties from road to CX to Tourers to MTB - all top of the line.
Finally, after months of talking about it and bugging him, I came up with the money for the Gunnar. But before I could buy it, he offerred me another deal I couldn't pass up - an '03 Trek 5500 with less than 500 miles in MINT condition. For the same price as the Gunnar. So, I took that instead - who wouldn't? Fortunately, the sizing was close enough to make it work.
After a month or so, I realized I still wanted the Gunnar but my friend had sold it. So, I bought a very nice Lemond Poprad off Ebay. Ultegra all around and a lot of nice upgrades. I love it. But I still have a spot in my heart for the Crosshairs. They are sweet bikes and can be set up for a variety of purposes....
Anyway, enjoy the Sport and good luck selling the Crosshairs. I'd consider it but I'm flat broke.

My girl friend is going to test ride a Poprad next week when it comes in. It's an 04 and I think it has 105 on it. Was yours with the Ultegra an upgrade? Does it have eyelets for racks? I've heard a lot of good things about these bikes...
They are great bikes. Mine came with 105 originally - the last year before they switched to Sora. Most everybody who bought one with Sora eventually switches it out. The guy I bought it from (Ebay) had it set up for hardcore CX racing. I wanted it as a second, foul weather option - mostly for commuting. So I changed a few things. It does have eyelets for fenders that I'd assume would work for a rack.
Here's how it's set up
Frame/Fork - Lemond 853 steel - 57 cm
Components - Ultegra Der's, crank (2x) cassette, shifters, SRAM chain
Brakes - Shimano XTR w/ Salsa boosters and Pauls CX bar pulls
Wheels - Mavic Open Pro, 105 hubs, 14 guage spokes, Salsa skewers
Tires - Vredestein CX Campo's - 700 x 28 - Great tires!
Bars/Stem/Seatpost - All Salsa
Pedals - Ultegra SL
It rides very smooth and is quite different, in a good way, to the 5500.
