since the chain on my fixed gear busted i switched to commuting on my SS motobecane grand mirage. the original maillard pedals on it are very out of adjustment. i popped the caps off to attempt to tighten them up and discovered they are non-adjustable. who knew?

since these sloppy pedals are annoying, and my fixxie is out of commission i was going to swap the pedals. but i when i tried to thread on the other set, they were very tight screwing in. i figure that the crankset on the moto uses some different threading. does anyone know if there are still pedals available that i can get for this bike, or if there is a way to tighten up the seemingly non adjustable cones? i dont really wanna swap cranksets bc i like using the french BCD size thats on this bike.

thanks..

Before rethreading your cranks, note that French-threaded pedals (and cranks) do show up on eBay regularly.

I have these Maillard pedals with Cristophe toe clips that I found in my basement yesterday. I cleaned them up and they're in pretty good shape. Can't remember though where I got them. Anybody recognize these type? On the back, they say "Maillard CX5?"
