Not too sure where to post this. I recently obtained a Giant TCR 2 frame, and I was wondering what kind of headset and type you fellow TCR ers.. use? I also want to know if you guys have any headset in mind. I think the TCR uses a 1in threadless headset, and I was hoping for something with very little stack height, anybody know any 1" integrated headset? Thanks for your help.

Provide more info...

1) Year
2) Giant TCR 2 Composite or Alloy version?

Because since 2001 - I believe Giant's road bikes have been using 1 and 1/8 integrated headsets from FSA.

Yeah.If you bought the frame you should have been supplied with bag containing FSA headset/carbon spacers etc.I know the Alloy anyway comes with FSA headset, not too sure about the Compostite.

BTW, TCR frames come with bag containing all this stuff. If you have bought the frame of some LBS or mail order, chances are they have sold you the frame and kept the headset/carbon spacers etc so sell on.When I bought my TCR this happenned to me.Contacted Giant who said they supplied each frame sold with FSA headset etc.I contacted company I bought it from and managed to get the rest sent. ;)

Sorry I didn't provide you guys with more information. Well it's a 98 tcr 2 alloy frame, I bought it used for 200 dollars frame fork handlebar stem seatpost. I measured the fork diamater and it uses a 1" headset. I seen a lot of people use the shimano 1" headset, but because I don't have enough stack height, I want to use an integrated headset or an aheadset. Thanks for your help.

you can't just use an integrated headseat with a headtube not designed for an integrated headset... 1998.. sorry I can't help you there. Hopefully someone can think back that far... :(
