Searched and couldn't find if this had been posted before. Check out these bars, looks like they're on a FG.

wooden handlebars if:
-you're elderly
-you're square and/or fat
-you joined the board within the last three months

but seriously, why. i put a period there because a question mark was too important for something as stupid as a wooden handlebar.

seriously, what is wood going to get you? nerd status for the three weeks before the earth and its elements renders it worthless? ugly points? acceptance into an amish community? a higher "different than everyone else" score?

seriously, if you want to be different, get ti bars or something. wood is for hangers and rocking chairs. quit being a dweeb.

ed: i'm so serious i said serious like three times.

also, i'm really drunk. if i offended you, i won't remember tomorrow, which makes you a liar (as well as an elven dweeb)

iiiiii really don't see anything wrong with them, if that's what you want, and somebody makes it, all the better : ) they're different, i'd enjoy short rides with them, if for no other reason than to give me something new, maybe a conversation starter, heck, it looks really clean and sleek IMO. If i rode no brakes, and had a steel once piece frame, i may actually consider it, wouldn't be for the serious commuter or long distance, but for nice rides just to ride, it'd be neat.

don't knock it if it's not for you. and as for holding up, it really depends on the wood, you're NOT going to break a pair of elm handlebars. . . and if you do, you're abusing your bike.

Its the wood that makes it good.

I saw a video where Ezra (fast boy) was going through his shop with some NYC video-zine and he talked about the wooden bars and how they didn't stand up as well as he hoped. I think he is completely out of the wood business and into the frame business - he isn't making the pretty fenders now either. Actually he is having some medical concerns at the moment, I've been following his blog.

He has been fighting cancer. His frames are absolutely beautiful. Art. And wonderfully functional. I would buy one of his custom bike frames in a heart beat. And his logo is a beautiful polished silver heart, placed as a head tube badge.
