What does that exactly mean, I think I have a clue but would like some more knowledge on this subject.

Where are the lugs on a frame.

lugs are joints that join tubes--
the joint and lug is brazed.
most lugs are larger than the outside
diameter of the tube and thus are thicker.
I've heard of internal lugs working the other
way around--never seen them.

so for metal frames you basically have lugged
construction, fillet brazing and welding.

It means they were death-marched from the factory to the container ships.

It exactly means you should get a six pack of beer, go to the bike shop, give it to the mechanic and hang out for an hour.
