Does anyone make a small handlebar bag? Just barely big enough for a can of Halt, cell phone, a little cash/credit card?

I've been looking, and can only find things 6X5X9, or larger.

I'd like to find one half that size, and a little padding/foam would be nice to protect the phone.

I bought 3 at Goodwill for $1.00 each. They have a large assortments of bags.
Attached them with Tye Wraps and or Velcro tape.
They all have zippered pockets for cards, cash, small parts you carry.

Stem Bag for camera or head light.

Good Idea! Looks like I start visiting the resale shops for cellphone type containers.

Thanks for the thought, and the pics.

IMO two of those bags on 10 Wheels rig look an awful lot like
digital camera bags. If that's the case (oooo bad pun), you now have
a greatly expanded number of places to search for a bag to fit your
needs. The larger one reminds me of a very small laptop case ?!?!

Happy trails

I love my candy bar bag, but if I were going to get a new one, I'd go to the source and get the same bag (http://www.frostriver.com/bike_bags/sawbill_trail.html)for $19 less.

BTW, I love the idea of adapting bags made for other purposes.

"Bento Boxes" are popular.

It's a bag about the size that you are asking about that sits atop the top tube up by the handlebar. Very handy for when you need to get to the Halt.

It's pretty hard to get Halt out of a bar bag in time to do much good against a surprise dog attack. You might consider carrying the Halt clipped to your clothing or in a handlebar clip, like this one from Bike Nashbar for $1.29 http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=&subcategory=&brand=&sku=1152&storetype=&estoreid=&pagename=Show%20All%20Products

Yep, one of those camera bags would be perfect, especially if it has a belt loop, and rings for attaching a strap. Looks to be the case in the pics.

I might have to start visiting resale shops more often. Never know when you might find a treasure or two.

+1

I use the smaller size Bento Box and it easily fits my cell phone, ID, and some cash; I clip my pepper spray onto the side when I carry it. They also make a larger Bento Box also.

BTW - they come in plain black - mine have been slightly 'embellished'. :D
(My other Bento Box has parrots on it).
