The Mk1 and Mk2 in the late 60's 70's had banana seats - I wonder whether it's a safety issue?

I had my worst bike accident on my brother's Chopper (ball gearstick interface) but agree it doesn't look right without the shifter.

My cousin had a bike back then that had a frame like a Chopper, really long forks, and a steering wheel. No kidding. And yes, it came that way.

Schwinn also sold those steering wheels as accessories for their Sting Ray bikes in the 60's I think.

OMG. I think that is it. Same color too. I thought the forks were longer, but it was a long time ago. If I remember right, it was not easy to ride unless you were used to it.

It's got the pedals forward in recumbent style, somewhat. Wouldn't mind taking it for a spin (if they made it in my size.)

Not on the website, but go to a Giant shop and ask to look at the photos of the Stiletto. It is BAD. Looks like a real freaking chopper. I ordered one based on the picture, have no use for it, but it is so wicked I can't stop myself. The only thing it needs is jockey shift. Supposed to be week 17. If it does not come out I am breaking out the torch and steel myself.
