Folding Bikes - what about putting a strap on your Dahon ?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I was wondering if it is possible (or maybe you have tried already) to put a strap on the bike when folded in order to carry the bike on the shoulder, i am assuming one end should be hooked to the rear QR and the other end to the BB, i am not sure if it's possible, just throwing an idea to the air.

This has crossed my mind many a time but I've never gotten around to working out how to make one. And how it would be kept out of the way when not folded.
But I've changed the way I carry the bike recently. I used to hold the top tube with one hand and sometimes another part of the bike with another hand. Then I realised it's more comfortable to hold the seat tube, and in that position I'm not sure a shoulder strap would work so well.
