Im not entirely sure how i managed it, but i have somehow bent my top chain ring. ive managed to bend it where it is protected by the crank arm, and i was wondering if it would be safe for me to take the chain ring off, and bend it back into place without it becoming dangerous to use? or if i will need a new one....
thanks for any help given.

If it's only a little then just take it out and bend it back and use something nice and flat to get it right. You're usually not supposed to re-bend aluminium but I can't imagine that you totally "taco'ed" a chainring so it should have enough maliability to get it back flat again.
