As much as I really like this bike - I bought it one size too big (end of the year clearance in 2005) and now it's time to sell. I'm adding a Cannondale that fits just right and there no room for the LeMond. :)
It's a 2005 LeMond Sarthe with 10 speed Campy Veloce. I'm the original owner and here are the details:
- OX Platinum Steel frame is in very good shape with minimal light use scratches. No dents, rust, etc.
-Campy Centaur seat post
-Fizik Arionne Ti saddle (with NO outside miles on it and 5 miles on the trainer. I got it as a gift and I tried it on the trainer and it just didn't fit me. I gave away the original saddle that came with the bike, so I figure why not put the Fizik on since I'll never use it)?
- New Cinelli black bar tape
- New Deda Elementai Al 44cm bars (another nice gift I didn't use because I had 46cm Bontragers on there I really liked - but the Deda's are sweet).
-Original Bontrager wheels are back on the bike. They might have 50 miles on them. See below for why the low mileage.
- A nice set of Neuvation R28SL4's also come with it (no tires). These were on the bike for most of it's life. They are nice, light, true wheels. I like them a lot and wouldn't be selling them but they are Campy and the new bike is Shimano, so I have no use for them. They are included in the price.
- 12-25 cassette on the original wheels.
- Also included in the original Campy box is a 13-29 cassette I had on the Neuvations to get my sorry a@@ up some big hills.
- The original Bontrager cranks have a chrome-like finish that is peeling off, probably from the sweat!
- I bent the original outer chain ring against my truck door (dufus me - nothing else got damaged) and although the LBS was able to mostly bend it back, I eventually had them replace it. Unfortunately they replaced it with a shimano chain ring! It shifts just fine and it took me a while to notice it (I saw the Shimano label on the ring when I was washing it). I didn't bother with getting a proper Campy chain ring because I was considering a Veloce 10 speed crank set with Ultra Torque, just to be all-Campy. Anyway, it shifts just fine. And it is a standard double, not a compact.
The bike is light, rides, shifts, brakes, and handles like a dream. I'd keep it forever if it fit!
Asking $800.00 for the bike, the Neuvation wheels, and Campy cassette. :thumb:
