Apparently still no pricing on the new DA 7900?
I am subscribed to this thread and eagerly await the order form.
I've found the supplier. but still talking on the price..

I see that you are trying to build a brand, perhaps, with the Neo and Exile....
But - and I may speak for others - what are the possibilities of playing down the logo some?
Could the black bike have a black logo, and the white have a white or grey logo? Something that still lets you get the name out - but keeps it modest for those that aren't into the stark logo placement....
yeah the frame might look a bit dull alone but i think the complete bike looks quite ok.
i'll keep it this way for this and the following year. if you have a better idea i would appreciate if you could share it with me and i might use it on the 2010 Neo Exile..

Have you seen Specialized, Cannondale, et al lately? This in comparison is very tastefully done.
thanks..
thanks..
Heh, I didn't mean to make that sound like I was damning with faint praise, I think on any absolute standard it looks good. I am hoping I am can afford to sign on before the close date.

Well, I'm in for at least the frameset/group. This looks pretty awesome. I love the look of naked carbon.
I'd like to see some alloy handlebars, something basic; but I guess that's something so common that I could get on my own for a good price with no problem.

+1 on the alloy handlebars. Patrick, how about Newtons?

150 for a carbon bar/stem combo is too much? You'd be looking at that minimum for a richey cockpit.

not sure who that's directed at, but in my case, i just prefer alloy for stem/bars. not about the price.
EDIT:
Carbon cockpit = 343g (110mm stem)
Alloy Deda cockpit = 316g (120mm stem. Stem is lighter than R900, bars are 19g heavier than Patrick's)

FWIW it seems Deda underestimate their weights a lot, sometime by even 15-35% according to weight weenies!

They don't have the Oval R900 stem, but they list the R700 off by over 18% as well. Both that entry and the ones for the Newton bars are a few years old though.
safe to say, ymmv ;)

i'm not as worried about weight; with a sub 900g frame, you've got a bit of elbow room. I've heard good things about carbon bars from everyone who's made the switch. carbon stems, not so much

yeah I can get Newtons but the only supplier here in China is known to be slow in everything, even in responding phone calls.
how about FSA?

right the R900 carbon stem is a bit heavy but with 900g frame I dont think weight is an issue. IMO the look matters more.
seriously the stem looks gorgeous with the carbon headset cone and carbon plug top cap..

most full carbon stems are quite heavy. FSA K-Force, Deda Forza both weigh 170+g
R900 is carbon wrapped aluminum.

FSA Energy T - Super cheap and a great style and bend - I've been using them for years now.

^^ I think a lot of people are into the groupset, or wheelset only..
In for two frames and one or two groups, plus maybe some other stuff. I assume (hope) everything comes disassembled or can be ordered as such.

all the stuff will defaultly be NOT assembled.
if you want your bike assembled, I, Patrick, will personally assemble it for you.
PS my Park Tool Big Blue Book just arrived yesterday and I'm going pro (mechanic-wise)!
online order sheet will be done within 5 days.

what size frame is the black bike in the gallery on page 1?
Patrick, it looks like the geometry is a little more "relaxed" compared to many bike frames. I personally think that's a good thing. How would you characterize it?

the black frame is size 57cm.
Neo Exile's geometry is for racing not comfort rides...btw it is exactly the same as the carbon frames of a Spanish brand, you'll see if you do a little research on that.

Thanks for the response and putting all of this together!
Will there be any option to buy a pair of campy hubs too? I assume the group doesn't include the hubs. I'll be building my own wheels but I already have my rims.

For crying out loud, where is the actual order link? I'd be in for SRAM Force groupo but only with 165 or 167.5mm and 50/34 or 50/36 cranks.
