Patrick, you rock.

this is a totally new frame model and nobody has tested it so far.
but here is another frame model which is made by the same factory and has the same front triangle and fork as Neo Exile but has different seat stays(Exile uses dual stays and this one a wishbone) and is made of materials of a lower grade (Exile is T800 and this one T500/T700 mix). The bike is in New Zealand and belongs to a pro racer. It is (as he said) very smooth, stiff and fast, basically everything you expect from a good racing bike.

http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk175/phallenthoul/004copy.jpg

hope this will help you know the frame better.

Aikidoka

I forgot to mention that the duals seat stays is a major reason I am interested in this frame. I'll ask before the questions really start rolling in...can the frame be had unpainted as the above pix?

cheers

Some us are probably going to need a little more specs than pictures. It's kind of difficult to blind buy a frame. Put up some gruppos at silly pricing and I'm all over them, sans frameset. Can you post up a little more about yourself and your connections to/within in the industry, or point me to some BF history? Thanks.

I'm having a little problem with the comment "this is a totally new frame". If this is not coming from a set of molds that were used to produce another label, making molds for Patrick is just too silly a cost to comprehend. I know you need to have some type of smokescreen, but you might want to make it a little less foggy.

A LOT more photos here to be edited.

Hey which one is the actual Exile frame? Those depicted appear to have different rear triangles.

I think they look the same; the pictures are maybe from slightly different angles, and it's sort of hard to make out the lines on the white frame.

The black one looks straight-tubed while the white's rear seems to be manipulated.

the matte black Exile is unpainted. it looks different because it has uni-directional carbon fiber weave.
if you(or anybody) prefer 12K(or 3K) weave, I can do that individually for you.

please post a pic of the frame finish detail if/when you have it. is it a "raw" sort of carbon finish (which i LOVE), or a cosmetic overlay like most production carbon frames?

any idea when you will have pricing sorted out?

It's a new frame model and it's not made for me. this is an open model which means any company can buy them and put their logos and labels on. But it is new, whatever else logos on the frame, it's not going to happen before Neo Exile.

Ask as many questions on the BIKES as you like. I'll do my best to make it not-a-blind-buy

Hey which one is the actual Exile frame? Those depicted appear to have different rear triangles.

right...I did explained this part in the other thread..
i'll just past it here anyway.

please note that the white and black frames are different. and the black frame model is for the groupbuy and white isn't. I got the idea of a white frame from a BF member a couple of weeks ago. I thought it would be a great idea but didnt have time to have a new frame made so I simply repainted the W****r L*R** frame.

Originally I wanted matte black and glossy black as options. But I personally didnt like the glossy black sample frame so it was redone in matte black and turned out to be excellent...so here we have matte black and glossy pearl white. If you want other colors, please talk to me in private when it's time to place the order.

the pictures are being photoshopped..they'll be posted in 12hrs..

it is a cosmetic wrapping called zero-degree uni-directional, which is a little different from the ordinary uni-directional. I'm not so much a CF engineer and the terms all sound too sci-fi for me and that's the most I can (am able to, NOT want to) tell you..anyway I think this looks great, glad you people think so.

LMAO...Thats very, very funny....really.

Lets support this thread and stick to the rules eh folks?? Something tells me this group frame/bike buy may very well turn out to be the best offering yet on BF.

For whatever its worth...I've had numerous email/PM conversations with Patrick over many months and he strikes me as being totally honest, highly intelligent, solid integrity and on top of his game in this frame offering.

Its not every day we get a direct source to the country(s) of origin eh? Lets be nice to Patrick and give him room to breath.

Patrick,
Prices look niiiice, except I have a campy question. I assume those prices are for 2009, 11sp. Any way you can get 2008/10sp for cheaper? Or, maybe 2009 Centaur level?

I prefer campy, but the price difference between SRAM Red and Chorus is insane (I know it's not YOUR fault)...
