Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was plotting driving directions for the Mt. Hamilton ride, and as I was looking at the driving directions, it gave me another link ... "Also Available Public Transit", with a link on Public Transit that shows scheduling and directions via VTA. It was not feasible for this trip, but I did think it was cool. It also compared cost of taking public transit vs. driving a car ($6.00 vs. $8.34 driving).
Google ... you continue to amaze me.

There's also an option when choosing a route for driving directions vs walking directions. I use driving directions when on my motorcycle and walking directions when on my bicycle.

Yeah, that's the feature that told me to leave last night at 9:00 to get to the start of the ride by 10:30 this morning.

That walking feature really helped me out to plot a course to the starting point this morning. I did modify it a little here and there but overall its a very good feature.

Gonna try using the Google 'walking' directions to go to my office tomorrow AM ... we'll see how it goes.
