Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. What brand/model of pump do you prefer and where do you locate it on the frame? Thanks in advance for your response.
Have you got the newer "latless" design? I've got a Grand Junction (not Joint Venture) without the extra tube. I'm using a Topeak Road Morph pump mounted on the water bottle spot on the back side of the captain seat tube. I got a mount for the pump that screws into the bottle bolts and has a velcro strap around the pump. If I wanted to recover that 5th water bottle, I'd try and see if it fit on the side of the captain seat tube and finally resort to somewhere on the top tube. I half considered mounting the pump on the right seatstay, but didn't like the idea of having it next to the chain.
I'm a convert to the Morph pumps with pressure gauge. It will actually get the pressure up to 110+psi, and you can tell when you get there. (The 'thumb test' is not effective at high pressures!)

Been using Topkeak Mt. Morph (shorter/lighter than road version). Almost a pleasure to have a flat with that pump aboard!
Did a custom mount on top of boobtube on our Zona c/f tandem.

I don't have a DaVinci Joint Venture so I guess I'm not suppose to answer but I use a Topeak Road Morph
