I made it to the top! Left my house at 8am, hit Athenian School at 8:29 and the top at 10:38. Back home at 12:15. I feel great!

On my way up, someone was on his way down. Later, I got passed by someone with the same jersey, so I asked, "Is this your 2nd time up today?" He said 'yes'. On my way down, I saw him coming up AGAIN. Wow. My quads were ready to revolt when I made it home.

Nice job Red_Leaf. My first trip to the summit today also. What about those winds though? I checked online and according to the California Department of Water Resources (who has a monitoring station at the summit) the winds were ~40mph, gusting to 50-55mph. I can well believe that - sheesh.

Yeah. I lost count of the headwinds but counted exactly ONE tailwind. It was a beautiful day otherwise and the views were awesome!
