I will second the recommendation for CyclePath. If you're looking for a high-end shop that caters to road cyclists, this is your best option in San Mateo. They also have locations in Hayward and Pleasanton. Each of the three shops are a little different, and carry different bike lines, so they can put you on just about any bike you might desire.
