We have received close to 100 cms of snow overnight!! A state of emergency has been declared. This storm has buried Halifax's old total storm record of 73.2 centimetres, set in 1960. We're expecting another 15 cms overnight tonight.

Saw similar pics on the evening news and they're calling for more snow headed your way tonight through tomorrow. You think it's bad now? Just wait until it starts to melt. You just know there's gonna be more than a few flooded basements when it's all over.

All you can do is stay warm and dig out the skis! :p

(Edited to add: Calgary was 8C today, sunny and warm. Had to put the skis away and dust off the bike!)

Wednesday morning, I swear there were some snow flakes dropping in front of my bike's headlights. (We don't get snow to speak of down this-a-way.)

Now ice storms, I can tell you about!
