just gotta give some props to Steve at Cynergy in SM. my wife needed some new shoes and instead of just asking "what size do you wear?" like most shops will do, he went above and beyond with measuring and fitting and insoles and wedges, advice on cleat placement. It was the kind of service you always hope to get, but so rarely do.
anyway, if you have any weird foot issues or i hard time finding comfortable shoes, I cannot recommend him enough.

Maybe he has a fetish.

Cynergy is a good shop. They have great customer service. Helen's, on the other hand, is the worst shop you could go to in terms of customer service.

Steve is awesome. I use him for fittings and he always takes time for extra stuff like this as well. Really, everyone in the shop is great.

I agree with this also. I'm never going into that Helens ever again. I heard they got a new manager, but it's too late.

Cynergy really is a great shop-- the fitters, the mechanics, everyone there is top notch. I agree with Ron and ANK about Helen's. That place has really gone down the tubes-- I hope they can turn things around.

haven't been in either shop for a while but i've found helpful people, and the usual bike shop douchiness in both places.
