Northern California - If you could ride with one Politician?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

 Uncle Pete!
After listening to the RNC last night (gotta keep an open mind) I'd stick a pump in Fred Thompson's spokes too. I would just shoulder check Joe Leiberman, into a ditch.

That would give him the opportunity to declare: "Wow, we are making good progress, the air is very clean here!"

Honestly, I wouldn't mind doing an MTB ride with GWB. I've read that he's pretty fast.
Other than Kerry, are any other politicians serious cyclists?

What I mean is that I don't consider one's politics for something as apolitical as a bike ride. I get enough politics everywhere else in life, and welcome relief from it in lists such as this one.
Why would I care about what your politics are, if we're just going to roll out on some roads for a while? I don't have political litmus tests for folks in general, but I do prize character and integrity regardless of whether it is "red" or "blue".

Congressman Earl Blumenaur (D - OR) owns seven bikes and commutes in the rain (http://spokesandbeans.wordpress.com/2007/12/30/congressmen-commuting-to-work-in-dc/).
And of course it's safe to say that Patrick McHenry (R - NC) isn't (http://www.streetsblog.org/2007/08/09/congressman-ridicules-bikes-as-19th-century-solution/) a serious cyclist.

Adlai E. Stevenson, Dwight D. Eisenhower, or Abraham Lincoln.. Guess, we'd not have that option with FDR. Among the living. Lance Armstrong.. Sooner or later he will be in the Congress. ^... Blumenaur. Definitely. But, prefer he'd come out and we'd all do Blue Ridge Parkway.. I'm more a rural rider.

Personally, I don't like him, but I think it would be fun to ride with him, especially with his security guards running alongside.

Clarification due to misinterpretation...I feel flaming coming in my direction...I'm over political BS. It was about the bike...My choice of who to ride with was purely for who I thought might be as enthusiastic about biking as me...Then I went for a joke (the usual), that didn't work : ( ...so, went for another joke oops!...even worse!... then all of a sudden I'm an A**hole ( puts brakes on and gets out of car walks up to angry mans window and says... "So I'm in a bar with a Horse, a Priest and a Stripper")...You got the rest, My apologies.
I think now this is where I go ride my bike and pretend to not have started this thread : )
Honestly, I wouldn't mind doing an MTB ride with GWB. I've read that he's pretty fast.
I also read that Kim Jong The Dear Leader and overall crackpot shot 11 holes in one during his last golf outing. I'd be hella fast on my mtb if the secret service were pushing, pulling, and holding me upright.

Major McCheese. That way, I could take a big ol'e bite out of the back of his head whenever I got hungry.
Or - how about the Mayor of Hooterville (http://cyclesd.blogspot.com/2007/10/hooterville-mayor-rides-wtih-fab-part-2.html)? Nyuck, Nyuck.....

John Kerry and Pete. I just want to see who can descend faster on a technical descent.
Jonathan Vaughters' ride with JK (http://www.slipstreamsports.com/2008/08/29/my-un-conventional-ride)
Pete, I know I can hang onto your wheels going down Mt Ham but when you said "I'm going" and overtake a SUV, a motorcycle and a car in one pass, man, I held back. Now I want to see you go head to head with JK with shaved legs and all :)

Going down Tam once, Pete, Ramon (I think) and I (with Ruth on the tandem) got stuck behind a RIDICULOUSLY slow car. I mean it was dangerously slow. There were no straights, and constant traffic on the other side. So, Pete passed the car on the inside of a right hand curve!! He was practically in the dirt.
