Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - What I learned today...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

being later for school is better than taking a ride on the hood of a car. wait for your light to turn green at major intersections. yikes.
anyone want to share theirs?

Wait what? You're advocating...following the rules of the road?!?!
INCONCEIVABLE!
*awaits the flame fest of people who are going to ream this guy because he thinks running red lights at a major intersection is a bad idea*

Don't get too close to the arm that comes down when a train crosses the road. I right behind an ice cream truck who decided to squeeze through the lowered gates while a train was coming. He hit the arm and it smacked that rear mirror (the big round one so they can see and not back over kids)
The mirror basically exploded and glass went everywhere and all over me. Dumb ass.

i usually stop at most signals on the way to class
mostly because my body is all tired and i can't ride 100%, and also b/c people usually are tired and aren't driving 100% either
