A friend forwarded me this e-mail the other day. No clue when this took place but it seems that at some point Lance boxed for training? I imagine Lance would be an amazing boxer.

That's a photoshopped picture all day long!

Not only that, it would be the most useless training. Strengthening his upper body would just add more mass he'd have to lug up the hills.

I think his new workout is doing pushups over Ms. Crow...

I saw the Nike commercial this picture was taken from. Kind of hokey, with Lance boxing, Andre Agassi playing for the Red Sox, Brian Urlacer and Micheal Vick playing hockey, and Marion Jones performing gymastics. Just a commercial with the ability for us to talk about in forums.

What leads you to believe that he would be an amazing boxer? His arms are aabout as big around as that other boxer's wrists. I doubt he does very little if any upper body workouts.

Well, for a pro cyclist, he does have a decent amount of arm muscle.

But I didn't think that his arm/shoulder muscle build was real in that commercial.

Yeah, I jsut saw it, too. It's decent. He's definitely been in better commercials (think Sportscenter) but it was cool nontheless to see even more cycling recognition on network TV. Now they need to put Tyler in something.

I never realized that Lance had tattoos either... Big Tex on his shoulder, and something on his chest

the tatoos are fake, to go along with his boxing nickname, I have a mens journal from end of 2003 with lance on the cover and no tatoos are on him, he has his shirt off on the cover

This is actually a Nike ad campaign, posing pro athletes in sports other than the one of their their actual achievements, asking "what if":

I haven't seen the boxing commercial yet, but my favorite Lance commercial was the one he did for ESPN a year or two ago. It starts out with an ESPN guy who is working late at the office and the lights start to flicker. He goes all the way to the basement and opens a door to a small room and there’s Lance off his bike, which is connected to a generator, and he’s toweling himself off. The ESPN guy says something to him. Lance then apologizes, jumps back on the bike and pedals very fast to turn all the lights in the building back on.

My favorite is the nike one from abour 2001, during the time the european press was all over lance thinking he took drugs cause he wooped there a$$es so bad, it showed him riding and he said "people want to know what i'm on, I'm on my bike 6 hours a day, what are you on" that was an in your face commericil right there, awesome

Ahh, sportscenter.
Definetly one of my favorite sportcenter commercials.
