So I'm slowly tapering down my cycling season and during the next few months (off season) I'm going to factor in more weight specific training. Hopefully 2-3 days a week of increasing intensity with weights (Although I may keep it to 2 days). My question is this...
I know weight training in the off season is meant to supplment my cycling (not hinder). It's also safe to assume that I'll be riding (although at lower intensities and mileage) during the off season as well. So that being said, what days of the week should the weight training be added in to my program? 2 days week for weight training and 2-3 days a week on the bike during the off season....means I either do them on the same day or I do them in sequence. That means only a day or so off a week.
a) same day I ride?
b) in between days I ride?
Input anyone?
PS. Yes I saw the sticky.
This may be a case of me just having to experiement and listen to my body.
