Have any of you had any experience removing the bag loops from your Brooks saddle? I have a Swallow and would like to remove the loops, but wanted to know how difficult it is and how to do it.

Out of curiousity, why do you want to do that?

Yep, why do you want to do it? I bought myself a Team Pro (which comes without the loops), and I really regret it.

You'll probably have to use a Dremel tool with a cutting head. Use safety glasses, the steel will throw up sparks like crazy.

Steel? He has a Swallow...we're talking Titanium here.

Possibly, but not necessarily. Some of the steel railed Swallows are still available....for a lot less too.

Still, either would be a bear to cut. The Ti alloy (I'm assuming it's an alloy) may cut with a carbide head, though I don't know for sure about that.

I see the possibility of a swap here. ;)

I'd do a 1 for 1 swap in a heartbeat. :D

Team Pro for Swallow... yeah, I'll get in line for that.

Bag loops probably aren't Ti even on the Ti railed versions (I'd suspect anyways).

Dremel for the win here, cutting wheel and then some grinding to smooth out the rough edges a bit so you don't snag your hand on it one day when you're not paying attention!

Seems a shame to chop the loops off.
