I have made numerous bikes over the years but have not been fabricating for awhile. This summer in Japan I made my own Lawn Bike. I guess it is not a bike since it is a tricycle but it has about three inches of dirt and real live grass. The fence is to help keep the bad guys out. Because of the ninety degree bend in the chain line I used and extra free wheel to transfer the power from one chain to the rear dive chain.

It was hard to pedal because of the weight and it had to be watered daily and cut often. Too bad I had to leave it there when I returned to the states this fall. Never had a chance to barbecue on it as planned. I thought the forums might enjoy it.

Got any video of that in operation?

You could do that on a smaller scale on the Worksman front-loading cargo trikes.

I've thought about making a bike with a chain-link fence around it so it's dog proof. But then again, I think about a lot of things.

I like your work. This latest is a great addition to your stable.

That's a pretty sweet bent! I bet the folks in the recumbent forum would appreciate it, especially since recumbents are often referred to as lawn chairs on wheels. :D

Thanks.

I might be making some new creations over the winter and will post them then. I made a lawn chair recumbent once.
