Cyclocross - Surly Cross Check out of stock everywhere?

I ordered a Cross Check from my LBS (Cambridge, Ontario, Canada) on August 1st. The estimated delivery date, as of my latest call yesterday, is September the 18th.

The manager said he couldn't get the frame from any of his suppliers, and has tried to buy it at retail price from "12 different places", but nobody has them in my size (56).

Is anyone else experiencing this? I started a new job this week and was planning to commute with the new bike, but I'm riding my road bike instead.

yep, they're out of stock with quality bicycle products, who supply just about every shop in north america.

I just ordered a 56cm from my LBS who uses QBP and I just got it a week later. I'm just waiting for my parts to come in and it's on.

There's a bunch of Cross Checks at Recycled Cycles here in Seattle. Maybe they'd be willing to ship.

Consider a Soma Double Cross. Lighter, stronger due to better tubing.

Quality supplies every Surly in the world, since Surly is wholly owned by QBP! Yep, they're out of stock everywhere. I'll be selling one on eBay pretty shortly though! Anyone need a 50cm?

Last I checked, the framesets are available. The completed bikes are not.

I ordered mine at my LBS (Aug 29th) and directed them to Universial Cycles which had a new stock of them come in, i had it a week later and i built it up over the past week. Just have to look around for them *thumbs up*

Actually, a Surly Pacer would make a lot of sense. But could raise a few extra $$Can? That would get you a Marinoni..
