Finally had the balls to do it - it's been sitting there for about a year - every time I rode by, or a few in my group hit it, I'd stick my tail between my legs an ride away. The take off is waaaaay steep - much speed is needed because you loose so much pushing through the lip. I hit it wide open, added just a little style and landed about 2 ft past the lip on the landing - a little nose heavy - but pretty clean.

Then this 18 year old kid hits it and does a nothing, then a superman, then a seat grab, then (no BS) a BACKFLIP - three in a row - first time he slipped off the pedals but then next two were as slick as snot. All this on a 50 pound Stinky Nine. Unfrickenbelievible!

I feel old.

I can relate to this so well, except for watching people do those tricks. Some people are just so good its crazy, you think you will never be able to do it. I know I have been getting better though, and I try new and bigger stuff all the time. I hope to move out to WA after HS, so I can do some real riding.

There are quite a few great riders around here - but this guy is really impressive. There is a true 20ft drop that was made at my local spot (Beacon Hill) - but I thought no one actualy hit it. He pulled a pic out of his wallet and showed me - huge. I was told that he's also hit a 55ft gap in Canada. He said he is working on a double back flip on his DH bike (claims he'll be the first ) - I would have considered this BS from anyone else. This guy can ride (down hill - he could'nt even come close to me on the climbs ;) )

Double backflip is literally a split second from being completed. I almost think it has been completed just not for a movie. Timo PRitzel came sooooooooooooo close in nwd4. He landed it but couldn't ride it away. Either way that sounds like an incredible rider. You should tell him to submit something to the raceface contest that happens every year.

ooops...that was a double backflip on a dh bike...ok yeah I don't know anyone who is even bothering or come close, so I bet he would be the first. The best djers around here only ride ht's.

We did a little filming of him today - I'll see if I can score some an post it.
