Hey from Asheville, NC!
I'm a former Roller Derby Diva until a tragic foot-break at Christmas, and am now trading in my 8-wheels for 2-wheels, and am ready to quit using my Subaru for a while, as I go to school, get trashed at the bar, rinse & repeat.
I've got an 80's Peugeot Carbolite 103 that's been hacked around and passed around from PDX to AVL that I'm trying to get fixed up to work as a commuter bike for going to UNC-Asheville, but the catch: I know absolutely nothing about bikes, especially Peugeots. There's something about French/Swiss/English threading and the difficulty of getting to switch out parts for one?
Which brings me to my next point: I'm still recovering from my freak accident at x-mas, and my leg strength isn't what it used to be: will the 12-gears I've got on my bike suffice for going up and down some pretty steep hills, or is it possible to upgrade to a triple-crank?
