Does anyone enjoy any Kellogg cereals before/after rides? I remember reading somewhere that Lance used to eat CornFlakes before races, so it got me wondering if its common.

By the way, I work for Kellogg's here in London Ontario, so that's why I ask.

I'm sure you can pick the Kellogg's cereals that do not add sugar to the grain flake or whatever. I doubt corn flakes are the best choice. Various shredded wheats and bran flake usually are sold without the sugar, use a banana instead , or raisins.

Definitely. I love how they try to market Spec K as a "health" food. All it is is Rice Krispies with a bit less sugar.

A lot of people probably don't know this, but we own the Kashi line as well, they have great stuff. I just ate a bowl of it here at my desk.

Not really. They are not filling enough, and have too much sugar and not enough fiber and protein. I enjoy oatmeal with flax bread for breakfast. :thumb:

+1 on oatmeal, my favorite breakfast.

I honestly rarely eat the stuff myself. Even with unlimited and free access to it...I wish Kellogg's would buy out Quaker so I could have the same access with their products. Even Vector cereal is a far cry from a healthy breakfast.

I fracking LOVE cereal.

The Kashi stuff is really good, and is healthier than most cereals sold at supermarkets. Since Whole Foods is quite far away from where I live (relative to the time I get home), I'm stuck with sugary cereals for now. They haven't affected me yet, but I'm switching to Kashi when I get the chance (hopefully tonight or tomorrow).

BK Croissantwich meal with some OJ. That's how I fuel up for all my rides.

If it has what you need, eat it. Eat food, not brands (even if you work for the brand). ;)

I'm a peanut-butter-and-jam fan myself for mornings when I need an energy boost for breakfast. Next time I'll buy the sugarless peanut butter.
